Scope of
Work

Joy Repair partners with institutions, organizations, and community-based organizations to understand how systems shape belonging, reproduce harm, and can be redesigned for dignity and repair.

This work is structured, evidence-informed, and built for real-world application across policy, practice, and culture. This is not a workshop series or a performative approach to culture change. It is a systematic process for identifying how systems are experienced, where they break down, and how they can be rebuilt to function with integrity.

01

Ancestral Asset Mapping

We work with institutions, organizations, and community-based organizations to surface the inherited strengths, cultural memory, and relational assets that already exist—but are often overlooked. This is not abstract theory—it is a structured, evidence-informed process that unlocks new pathways for strategy and repair.

I promise there will be no trust falls. This is real science.

02

Shame System Analysis

We identify where shame is operating as an invisible driver within institutional and organizational systems—shaping behavior, limiting participation, and distorting outcomes. Through structured assessment and narrative inquiry, we map how shame appears across policies, practices, and culture.

We are naming real dynamics, not assigning blame. This is how systems become visible.

03

The Joy Repair Index™

Designed for institutions and community-based organizations, the Joy Repair Index measures belonging, dignity, relational health, and systemic alignment. It translates lived experience into usable data—moving beyond performative metrics toward indicators that reflect how people actually experience a system.

Yes, you can measure this. And yes, it changes what you see.

04

Repair Circle Design & Facilitation

We design and facilitate structured spaces for institutions and communities to engage in truth-telling, accountability, and collective repair. These are carefully held processes that restore trust, surface harm, and build new relational agreements.

No forced vulnerability. Just real work, done well.

05

Narrative Repair & Strategic Alignment

We work with organizations to examine and reshape the stories they tell—internally and publicly. This includes messaging, internal language, and narrative positioning, aligning communication with dignity, truth, and lived experience.

This is not branding. It is narrative alignment with reality.

06

Anti-Shame Systems Design

We partner with institutions and organizations to redesign policies, programs, and internal processes—removing shame-based dynamics and replacing them with structures rooted in dignity, inclusion, and accountability. This is where culture change becomes operational.

If it lives in a policy, it can be redesigned.

07

Organizational Transformation Partnership

We engage in longer-term partnerships with institutions and organizations to embed Joy Repair across strategy, culture, policy, and measurement. This includes leadership alignment, implementation support, and ongoing evaluation to ensure changes are sustained over time.

This is not a workshop. It is sustained change.

The Client Journey

What You'll Do
Step by Step

This is six to eighteen months of sustained partnership. Not a workshop. Not a fix. Real repair.

01

Surface Strength

We start by surfacing what's already strong—the inherited assets, relational power, and cultural memory your organization carries but hasn't organized. This isn't therapy. It's archaeology.

02

Name the Invisible

Where does shame operate? What policies embed it? What narratives obscure your actual work? We map it structurally, not personally.

03

Measure What Matters

The Joy Repair Index translates lived experience into usable data—belonging, dignity, relational health. Numbers that reflect reality.

04

Repair Circles

You sit with the harm and the truth. Real accountability. Real alignment. The kind that holds.

05

Narrative Shift

Internal language, external messaging, leadership alignment—everything points the same direction. No more story drift.

06

Rebuild Structures

Policies change. Practices change. Culture shifts because structure shifted first.

You come in as you are. We start by surfacing what\'s already strong. We name what\'s been invisible. You measure what matters. Real accountability. Real alignment. Your narrative shifts. Then you rebuild.

What This Work Makes Possible

The Difference
Organizations
Experience

This reflects real change when lived experience, structure, and strategy are brought into alignment.

01

Hidden Strength → Strategic Clarity

Without this work

Organizations carry deep relational, cultural, and institutional knowledge that remains informal or underutilized.

With Joy Repair

Existing assets are surfaced and organized into a shared framework that informs decision-making and strategy.

Long-term result

The organization operates with clarity about what it holds and how to use it.

01 / 07

This work does not change who an organization is. It makes what is already true visible, usable, and sustainable at scale.

This reflects the difference organizations experience when they move through a Joy Repair engagement. It is not theoretical—it is based on how systems change when lived experience, structure, and strategy are brought into alignment.

Joy Repair is not a program. It is a shift in how we understand people, systems, what it means to build something that actually works.
